Why have a foundation evaluation for your newly built home

A foundation evaluation for a new home will provide you with drainage recommendations and a relative elevation survey.

Here at TC River Cities Structural we offer a low price new house foundation evaluation. Our evaluations are considered a Level B evaluation and are inspected and signed by a Professional Engineer for legal or permitting proposes.

Why to Consider:

Many newly built homes have a 10 year warranty on the foundation. Rarely would foundation repair be advisable within 10 years. Because a house would have to experience a high rate of differential foundation movement to get to the point of requiring foundation repair.

However, a new house foundation evaluation will provide the owner with a benchmark relative elevation survey. These are valuable tools down the road when your house foundation has experienced movement. Because the survey can tell an engineer how the foundation is moving over time.

Most companies either charge the full foundation evaluation rate for a new house inspection or provide you with a free inspection that is of little value in the future. The free inspections are not usually performed or signed by an engineer and not useful for legal proposes or making a warranty claim.

Also, we will make best practice recommendations on how to limit foundation movement through drainage and landscaping.
